Peter Robertson has spent a lifetime honing an Alsatian sensibility, producing this little gem well before Madame Gris became quite so fashionable. With its vivacious, dry, aromatic palate and lively acidity, this is lighter and more floral than its counterparts from Alsace.
Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"Aromatic and enticing, the 2024 Robertson Pinot Gris immediately appealing. Nashi Pear, peach, melon and hint of honey is evident. While it has been made in a dry style, the sweet fruit reflects the hot season of 2024. Whether it is lunch or dinner, Pinot Gris is a joy to behold. According to Jancis Robinson the grey as in Pinot Gris takes its name from the grey habits worn by the Cistercian Monks who spread the variety through Europe."
5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, October 2024 (2024 Vintage)
"Delightfully fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows golden peach, poached pear, lemon peel and rich floral aromas. The palate displays succulent fruit intensity, together with supple texture and beautifully pitched acidity, finishing long and flavoursome. At its best: now to 2027."
