Winery notes (2021 Vintage)
"Made from a high quality, low-yielding Tempranillo filed blend from hillside vines (laderas) on limestone soils. We decide the type and length of ageing individually for each vintage, using a combination of stainless steel, concrete, and used oak barriques and foudres for a total alternative ageing of 2-3 years.
Pure and precise aromas of cherries, red berries and thyme. Medium bodied, with good length and weight on the palate, showing beautiful balance between the fresh acidity, fruit concentration, and firm but fine-grained tannins. A versatile, very satisfying drinking wine and a great example of cooler-climate Tempranillo from Rioja Alavesa."

5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, January 2024 (2020 Vintage)
"Beautifully styled and immediately appealing, the wine shows dark plum, olive, smoked game and roasted nut aromas on the nose. The palate displays soothing mouthfeel and lovely weight, splendidly complemented by supple texture and fine, polished tannins, making it comforting and fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2027."
