A fresh and richly fruited Montepulciano from a quality traditional producer, who now uses organic methods. Cornacchia's vineyard soils are stony and calcerous, which makes them well-drained in addition to the aromatic brightness added by the presence of lime. With an altitude of 240 metres, these closely managed and certified organic sites offer perfect conditions for a beautifully balanced and food-orientated Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.
Deep ruby red with violet-purple reflections. Huge, fruity bouquet; black cherry and herb scented. Lush currant fruit with velvety soft tannins and perfect fruit acid balance. A wine of great harmony and intensity. The finish is long and spicy.
91/100 James Suckling (2022 Vintage)
"This is a youthful and juicy montepulciano that has aromas of blueberries, wet herbs and violets. It’s full-bodied with broad, berry-soaked tannins. From organically grown grapes."
91/100 Alexander Peartree, Wine Enthusiast (2022 Vintage)
"This rich black-cherry-hued Cerasuolo presents more like a light-bodied red. Its dense aromas of red cherry and blackberry are peppered with highlights of hibiscus and clove. The palate is juicy yet grippy, with the broad structure balance by driving acidity."
