Theo Coles works as a consultant winemaker to a number of wineries and projects up and down the country but The Hermit Ram is his baby. With The Hermit Ram Theo has complete control and total freedom to dictate the wines’ style and direction and it seems he is very interested in creating serious, structured wines with plenty of interest about them.
Winery notes (NV)
"Central Otago Riesling from 3 vintages 2022, 2023 & 2024. Schist soils. Whole bunches fermented in juice then pressed off and fermented in tank each year. Matured in amphora and puncheon. When each vintage is ready they are blended together with the previous in tank and then returned as a blend to puncheons and amphorae."
We provide a door to door delivery service nationwide. Delivery charges are calculated on a 12 bottle case or part there of.
Delivery charges are calculated during the checkout process based off your address post code. Please ensure you choose the correct post code. We will advise you if you have chosen the incorrect post code.
You may also choose to 'pick up' your order from our wine shop at 188 Durham Street South, Christchurch.

Note, for orders of 1 - 2 bottles we charge an additional $6 for packaging. To ensure the safety of the bottles we use specially designed posting boxes.
