Ones to watch, Chaffey Bros are currently turning heads in Australia with their modern approach to Aussie Classics. Based in the Barossa, brothers-in-law Daniel Chaffey Hartwig & Theo Engela describe themselves as part-perfumiers, part-historians, and part-mad scientists…

They craft our handmade wines from a number of epic, low-yielding vineyards nestled among the pristine Barossa & Eden Valleys in South Australia and are now joined by young-gun winemaker, Huon Fechner, who will be presenting this tasting.

Their wine philosophy is ‘New Wave Barossa’… Soil up. Aromatic. Textural. Unadulterated.

Whatever the formula, they are on to a winning one… literally! Having picked up a Gold & 96/100 at the Decanter World Wine Awards for their 2023 “La Résistance!” Barossa GSM (we will be tasting the 2022) and last year winning Best in Show at Decanter for their 2021 Evangeline Syrah (we will be tasting the 2022)!

We will also be trying some wines that have been brought over specially for this tasting – 3 Whites, 1 Chilled Red and 5 Reds. This is sure to be an epic tasting!
