Winery notes (2021 Vintage)
"100% Pinot Noir grapes were late harvested on 25th May 2021 allowing them time to ripen fully and produce a considerable amount of sugar. The juice was fermented in stainless steel to retain the varietal and fruit characteristics. The ferment was then stopped to retain a residual sugar of 113g/l.
It has attractive aromas of peach and raspberry on the nose. Intense flavours of strawberries, citrus, sherbet and a hint of tangelo on the palate. This wine is a perfect match with desserts or cheeses and can be enjoyed on its own."
5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, April 2023 (2021 Vintage)
"This is enticing and immediately appealing on the nose, showing watermelon, candied orange, mango and subtle spice aromas, followed by a succulent palate displaying elegant sweetness and silky texture, well supported by bright acidity, making it deliciously appealing. At its best: now to 2026."
4 Stars Michael Cooper, April 2023 (2021 Vintage)
"Offering attractive, very easy drinking, the 2021 vintage of this Central Otago Pinot Noir was late-harvested (on 25 May) and stop-fermented with 113 grams/litre of residual sugar. Pink-hued, it is a distinctive wine, with balanced acidity and vibrant, berryish, plummy flavours, strong, sweet and smooth."
