Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"Our 2023 Pinot Noir Rosé has a vivid pink hue that hints at the great energy and fresh aromas that will unfold in the glass. Intensely fragrant, the floral notes and bright red fruit followed by a crisp finish sing beautifully of Central Otago Rosé. Enticing aromas of strawberry, cherry, cranberry and red apple are carried long on the palate by the fresh acidity. This dry-style Rosé has amazing fruit purity that is perfectly balanced by zesty acidity making it a wonderful wine on its own and fantastic for summer BBQs and outdoor dining. With each new vintage, we set out to make a complex Rosé that is balanced and engaging – truly a kaleidoscope for the senses."

"It’s splendidly ripe and elegantly aromatic on the nose showing sweet strawberry, apricot, fig and lemon zest aromas, leading to a finely flowing palate that’s juicy and flavoursome. Delightfully styled with succulent fruit flavours, finishing long and refreshing. At its best: now to 2026"

"Bright pink, with an attractive, freshly scented bouquet, the vigorous 2023 vintage is a single-vineyard wine grown at Pisa, in the Cromwell Basin. Hand-harvested, it was mostly tank-fermented, but 15 per cent was handled in old oak casks. Mouthfilling, it is very youthful, with strong, vibrant watermelon, strawberry and spice flavours, appetising acidity and a basically dry (4.3 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Top drinking for the summer of 2023-24"

“This vibrant young rosé from Central Otago is already full of bright fruit flavours and drinking well with promising aromas of red berries; think of dried cranberries, ripe strawberries, cherries and raspberries, all intermingling in a light bodied, flavour packed wine. This drinks well now and will continue to do so for the next 18 months. Like most rosé, this is a wine to sip and savour while it’s young”.
