Winery notes (2018 Vintage)
"The Seddon Vineyard in Marlborough is spectacular site, sheltered from the southern elements resulting in a very warm mesoclimate. Careful attention to vine health and balance in this block allows grapes to reach full flavour potential. Additionally, yield manipulation, water monitoring and balanced nutrition are a key focus when managing this vineyard. To enable perfect fruit in peak condition each bunch is hand picked in the cool of the morning and chilled down overnight before being pressed the following day.
Intense fresh cut white pear, complexed with cinnamon spice and floral notes dominate the aromatics, intermingling with a core of yellow stone fruit flavours. This off-dry wine has a finely textured palate, displaying underlying purity and power. A balanced level of acidity combined with concentrated fruit, creates excellent palate length and a lingering finish."

5 Stars Michael Cooper (2017 Vintage)
"One of the country's top Pinot Gris, this Awatere Valley wine is typically sturdy, beautifully scented and intense. Hand-picked and fermented and lees-aged for three months in tanks (70 per cent) and seasoned French oak barriques (30 per cent), the refined 2017 vintage is a fleshy, dryish style (5 grams/litre of residual sugar), mouthfilling and vibrantly fruity, with rich, delicate pear and lychee flavours, gentle acidity, and excellent delicacy and length. Drink now or cellar."
94/100 Cameron Douglas MS (2017 Vintage)
"Pure and ripe white-fleshed fruits with gently spiced red apple, d'Anjou pear and quince. Refreshing and lively in the palate with layers of white spice, white-fleshed fruit and a lesser led texture. Plenty of length, a hint of residual sweetness and warming alcohol. Great balance. Drink now and through 2022."
