One of our all time favourite Rosés' presented in a stunning magnum bottle. Twice as much deliciousness, yes please!
It is no secret that we are great fans of Two Rivers Rosé and we look forward to each new vintage release with anticipation to see how wine maker Dave Clouston has tweaked and developed the style. Dave is looking for a wine with a refreshing salty, briny character along with red summer fruits, Mediterranean herb flavours. He has succeeded brilliantly, with the 2022 an epitome of succulent, delicious refreshingness. This vintage will gain more and more fans, both locally and around the world.
Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
"Pale salmon in colour, this Mediterranean style rosé is savoury with fresh sea breeze aromas of rock salt and pink peppercorns, overlaying nuances of watermelon, nectarine and botanical notes of Jasmine. The zesty palate exudes orange peel, white peach and touches of coconut, rosehip and red liquorice. This elegant rosé is perfectly poised with a gravelly texture, delivering a thirst quenching, generous and dry finish."
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, June 2022 (2022 Vintage)
"It’s elegantly fragrant on the nose showing crunchy apple, apricot, raspberry and white floral nuances, followed by a brilliantly focused and finely flowing palate that’s beautifully poised and persistent. Gracefully slim and crisp-dry, offering fabulous drinking. At its best: now to 2025."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, July 2022 (2022 Vintage)
"Fantastic rose expression, young, fresh and vibrant. Core fruit flavours of fresh strawberries and red apple skin are accentuated by a lively acid line that dances the fruit across the palate. There’s a floral sweet rose, a whisper of turkish-delight and quince-like flavour as the wine opens in glass. Low fruit tannins, a light saline quality and lengthy youthful finish. Best drinking from late 2022 through 2024."
4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2022 Vintage)
"Grown in the Southern Valleys, the 2022 vintage is a blend of multiple red and white varieties, tank-fermented and lees-aged for two months. finish. Bright, light pink, it is a very lively, medium-bodied wine, with strong, vibrant watermelon, strawberry and spice flavours, crisp and dry (2.4 grams/litre of residual sugar). Best drinking 2023+."
