Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"Delicate notes of apple blossom, nectarine, honeysuckle, lime zest – with mineral undertones. On the palate – intense lime, zesty mandarin and ripe red apple. Bright acidity brings freshness and balances with generous fruit sweetness. These two aspects are accentuated by the natural spritz retained from fermentation which provides lift in the mid-palate. The reprise is long and lingering with a satisfyingly crisp cleansing texture."

"A captivating and fragrant bouquet with scents of apples and lemons, mineral and white peaches all laced with white flower and rose scents. Youthful and enticing. Off-dry as the wine touches the palate with a gentle sweetness immediately contrasted acidity then flavours that mirror the bouquet. Acidity adds a salivating crispness while the lasting green apple and citrus fruit flavours deliver length and persistence. Well made and ready to drink from 2023 through 2029+."

The Boneline is a family business who started planting in 1989, continuing to craft wine exclusively from this original vineyard, in their own winery. They were one of the early Waipara vineyard pioneers, recognising the areas potential as a premium wine region.

Boneline's location was selected on the basis of meeting rigorous selection criteria: frost-free micro climate, north-facing and north of the Ashley River, with a limestone and gravel base. Grape varieties have been matched to the sites across four unique levels of terraces to maximise grape potential.

Boneline's Cellar Door offers seated tastings, a sharing-style snacks menu, a library wine selection (previous vintages), and a wine store. They also host weddings and events.

On weekends a Vineyard walkway is open for cellar door guests to walk the property and learn about the various blocks (there are 22 signs along the way).
