This wine is absolutely delicious. The Chapman family's organic vineyard on the Glasnevin gravels of Waipara has had some serious recognition recently and was awarded the Organic Vineyard of the Year in 2018. This sweeter Riesling has become a bit of a signature wine for them and the 2020 is another star.

"Offering splendid fruit purity and perfume, the wine shows Gala apple, orange peel, rockmelon and rich floral aromas, followed by a wonderfully concentrated palate that's succulent and flavoursome. It's beautifully enhanced by elegant sweetness and vibrant acidity, finishing impressively long and delectable. Style: Medium. Certified organic. At its best: now to 2030."

"Terrace Edge is a family-owned winery in North Canterbury that makes two Rieslings each year, each with varying degrees of residual sugar, and each a response to the growing conditions of the vintage. This wine contains 28 grams of residual sugar (medium sweet in style but tastes medium dry) and a smidgeon of botrytis at 1-2%. It tastes super fresh and is certified organic. It was a very dry, very clean year due to dry weather conditions."

"Bright, even, straw-yellow with some depth. The nose is elegant, and poise, mouthwatering minerals, citrus fill the glass, along with an array of calming florals. Med-sweet to taste, medium-bodied, bright aromas of lime, mandarin has a taut core and mouthwatering; lime flowers unveil along with delicate spice, and crunchy minerals flow with tension to a long, lingering finish. The fruit is gentle and aromatic, grows in concentration; thirst-quenching taut acid cut provides balance to the sweetness and drives to a sustained finish. This is a medium-sweet, fragrant Riesling with a tight core of citrus, floral details and lengthy mineral tension. Match with crispy pork belly and classic fish & chips over the next 5 years. 0.5% botrytis, fermented in stainless steel to 12.5% alc."
