Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
“This fresh, mineral wine is made entirely from Pinot Noir and is BioGro certified organic. Hand picked fruit and minimal skin contact ensures a brilliantly pale and clear wine with intense aromas of nectarine, pears and spice. The palate shows fresh stonefruit and defined minerality.”
94/100 Emma Jenkins MW, Decanter UK, May 2024 (2023 Vintage)
“Pale, luminous and lithe, this Central Otago Blanc de Noir is made from 100% organic Pinot Noir. With very short skin-contact time, this increasingly popular style is a knife edge between white wine and rosé but its pretty aromatics and minerally bright palate are too good to miss. With stonefruit, nashi pear, citrus and spice notes, there’s good fruit intensity and a crisp, dry finish. A silky, refreshing aperitif-style perfect for a warm summer’s day.”
5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, March 2025 (2023 Vintage)
“Elegant and finely scented, the bouquet shows green rockmelon, nectarine, fig, and white floral aromas with a hint of flinty complexity. The palate displays excellent focus and flow, wonderfully framed by saline texture and bright acidity, finishing persistent and refreshing. At its best: now to 2027.”
92/100 Cameron Douglas MS, March 2025 (2023 Vintage)
“Floral, delicate, bright and fruit bouquet with scents of fresh lemon and pear, some apple then a wet stone mineral quality. On the palate a dry wine with an immediate touch of salinity lining the acid line, then flavours of citrus and tree fruits reflect the bouquet. Refreshing and crisp with an aperitif quality, balanced, well made and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2029.”
5 Stars & 18.5/20 (93) Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, March 2025 (2023 Vintage)
“Bright, even, very pale yellow. The nose is gentle, with aromas of pear, blossom and stonefruit hints. Medium-light bodied, aromas of pear, blossom and nectarine melded with a touch of white pepper. The light and fresh wine unfolds a subtle depth of fruit on a silky and lightly creamy palate, lending a crisp, refreshing closing. Elegant and well-made. Serve as an aperitif or match with sushi over the next 2-3 years. 100% Pinot Noir, whole bunch pressed, minimal skin contact, fermented in stainless to 13% alc, 2.3 g/l RS, rest on lees for a period of time. Organic certified.”
