Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"Floral lift on the nose, perfumed blueberries and hints of cocoa with overtones of violets and cooling dried herbs. Elegant and structural palate at its core with fine chalky tannins complimented by an even floral fruit spectrum, enhanced with subtle toasted oak."
96/100 James Halliday's Wine Companion (2019 Vintage)
"Matured for 18 months in French oak (40% new). This is massive, the oak a central part of the experience right now. However, at the time of tasting, this wine still has a year and a bit to go before release. The time will be crucial for the ample black and red fruit to soak up that oak, step up on its shoulders and ride the chariot with muscle and power. Concentrated and focused; this will be great in time."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, June 2024 (2019 Vintage)
"A rich and opulent bouquet of dark berries and wood spices, smoke and a touch of char, lead to the palate of the same. There’s no mistaking the core of blackberry and roasted plum flavours, clove and vanilla spices laced with new wood and a roasted nut quality. An abundance of fine tannins, but not too many that the wine can’t be enjoyed today on its own. Acidity contrasts the fruit power with oak, smoke and youthful drive doing the rest. Well made and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2029+."

92+/100 Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front, September 2021 (2018 Vintage)
"This is a mid-weight wine with a softness to its texture and an easy, accessible flow to the flavour. Minty blackcurrant and vanilla cream flavours flow into tobacco and peppercorn. Tannin is a light sheet through the base of the wine. There’s nothing dilute about this release but at the same time there’s a juicy, watery aspect, in a positive way. Tannin and fruit have a little ways to come absolutely together but really, now or later, this will perform well."
