The Straw flask (Fiasco) was born in Tuscany in 1300 to protect the glass from breakage during transportation and keep the wine temperature stable. It was immediately a big success in sales, and the straw flask became the traditional bottle always used in home consumption. The Fiasco still maintains its big popularity today and makes Chianti wine be recognized everywhere in the world.
