Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
"Bright intense red with purple hues. Blueberries, also classic Malbec mulberry, red cherries and notes of cedar; cocoa and wafts of violets. At first this Malbec is Intense, juicy and super youthful "grapeiness" again lots of blueberries. Almost overwhelming. The Middle Palate is generous and quite sensual it is structured despite the lashings of fresh fruit Really rich and lush. The after palate is flavoursome, rich sweet berry fruits and Damson plum is on top of rolling red fruits and Blueberry pie! The finish is lush and mouth filling with a glycerol sweetness balanced by gentle tannins and a soft fresh acidity. Along with barbecues, Malbec's team a treat with bold summery dishes. As they're by no means shrinking violets in the flavour department, a chilled bottle will go beautifully with beef fajitas or big-flavoured salads. Drink now until 2031."
4 ½ Stars & Best Buy Cuisine NZ Bordeaux Style Red, June 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"Deeply coloured and youthful with a purple rim evident. Sweet berry aromas sit alongside toasty oak, spice and game aromas. The palate is plump and succulent with the juicy midpalate typical of malbec that gives vibrancy and enhances enjoyment."

5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, February 2022 (2021 Vintage)
"Brightly fruited and instantly appealing, the wine shows Black Doris plum, blueberry, floral, chocolate and spicy oak aromas, followed by a flavoursome palate displaying ripe fruit intensity backed by velvety texture and plush tannins, making it highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2029."
91/100 Cameron Douglas MS, March 2022 (2021 Vintage)
"A dark purple and ruby hued appearance leads to a bouquet of blue berries and plum, some darker cherry and milk chocolate. A whisper of spice and mild oak scents layer in a subtle complexity and charm. Core fruit flavours that reflect the bouquet drive the palate along with a silky texture then contrasting chalky-ish tannins. A balanced even acid line brings further contrast and carries the dark berry fruit flavours to the back palate finishing with black currant. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from 2022 through 2025."
