Poderi dal Nespoli is nestled in the Bidente Valley, a Bio-Symbiotic district in Italy, gracing the hills of Forlì at 177 meters above sea level, an area that seamlessly connects the Apennines to the Tuscan border and the Riviera Romagnola. Established in 1929 the Ravaioli family now manage this historical estate with Mondodelvino Group and employ state-of-the-art technologies to bring artisanal Romagna wines to the world.
A unique blend of Bombino Bianco with a splash of Sauvignon blanc. The former is traditionally a vigorous and productive vine with thick-skinned, weather-resistant berries, that even during the most difficult years farmers could count on this wine to pay their debts: hence its name, pays-debt! However, careful; vineyard management and low cropping of mature vines has ensured a rich characterful dry wine.
This wine stands out for its lively character and freshness. It has an intriguing and aromatic bouquet, where notes of white-fleshed fruits such as apple and pear stand out, enriched by floral nuances and a hint of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it presents with well-balanced acidity while the structure is pleasantly light yet persistent, with an aftertaste that recalls the olfactory sensations. Ideal as an aperitif or to accompany dishes from seafood cuisine, vegetable dishes and fresh cheeses.
Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"Our vineyards are situated in the Bidente Valley, where a medium-textured soil enriched with marl and clay prevails. Pagadebit is a robust and productive grape, with a thick-skinned berry resistant to harsh weather. Even during the most challenging vintages, farmers could rely on this wine to settle their debts, hence its name, Paga-Debit (pay debts)!
With its lively straw yellow colour, it exudes the typical fl oral notes of the variety, such as hawthorn, along with fruity aromas of white peach, leading to a pleasant taste. The finish is enveloping with subtle herbal nuances."
