Neil and Alison Paulett bought this Clare Valley winery in 1983 and have since extended the vineyards and welcomed their son Matthew into the business. Both father and son graduated from Adelaide's famous wine school, Roseworthy, and Neil spent time at Penfolds and Rosemount before branching out on his own. This well-priced red shows off their expertise, fruit-forward and silky smooth.

"This ruby red wine boasts a rich and complex aroma, where bold dark cherry, blackberry, and blackcurrant intertwine with hints of sawdusty oak, black olive, and a touch of liquorice spice. The full-bodied palate is beautifully structured, with bright acidity enhancing the fleshy black fruit flavours. Fine, grippy tannins lend subtle texture, while a whisper of black liquorice and herbal leafiness add depth and intrigue to the long, balanced finish."
