Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"The nose shows complex interplay between notes of mocha, dark fruit and dried herbs. The palate is layered and rich with Doris plum, red cherry and bramble characters supported by fine tannins and a long finish. Great wine to be accompanied by veal and other red meat dishes as well as paired to a brie cheese afterwards.
A single vineyard wines from Nevis Bluff's L'Attitude vineyard, situated in the Pisa sub region of Central Otago. Hand selected grapes were picked between 2nd – 5th April 2024. Fruit from Pisa sub-region, 100% destemmed, fermented in barrel to 14% alc, then aged in barrels, 28% new French oak.Vegan friendly."
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, August 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Gorgeously styled and expressed, the wine shows dark plum, rich floral, thyme, smoked game, and hazelnut aromas on the nose. It's richly weighted with refinement and finesse, wonderfully complemented by velvety texture and fine-grained tannins, finishing splendidly long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2034."
5 Stars & 18.5/20 (93) Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, September 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Moderately deep crimson, even colour throughout. The nose is gentle and elegant, with aromas of blackberry, cherry, plum, thyme and spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of blackberry, plum and cherry entwined with thyme, vanilla, cinnamon and mocha. The dark fruit is succulent with good depth, layering detailed spices and enriching the silky mouthfeel. This dark-fruited Pinot Noir is well-structured and elegant. Match with lamb rack and roasted duck over the next 8 years. Fruit from Pisa and Lowburn, 100% destemmed, fermented in barrel to 14% alc, then aged in barrels, 28% new French oak. Vegan friendly."
92/100 Cameon Douglas MS, October 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Aromas and flavours of a very ripe wine with dark skinned fruits from plums to black raspberry then black currant. Additional flavours of clove and baking spices along with a lees and milk chocolate quality emerge as the wine opens out in glass. Dry, balanced, warm and well made with plenty of tannins and acidity for tension and length then a swing back to fruit. Well made with best drinking from 2026 through 2030."
