The Real Review Rosé Wine of the Year NZ 2025 Finalist (Top 3)
Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"Elegant with a touch of sass, how rosé should be. Balletic and enticing, this rosé is modern, dry and mouth filling. A beautiful collision of rosewater, ruby grapefruit and pink salt. Refreshing acidity gives serious second glass appeal. An enchanting and sophisticated rosé. Rosé is all about enjoyment. Although a serious wine, it is not intimidating or excluding. A drink that welcomes all who indulge. A drink that makes us say – yum."
92/100 Stephen Wong MW, The Real Review, May 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"An astounding value, this is 100% clone 777 pinot noir grown in the Moutere clays but marketed under the more affordable ‘grower’ series label. 7% of it was fermented in barrel while the rest was in tank, all with wild yeast, and it was also allowed to undergo partial malolactic fermentation for added texture. This truly punches well above its price-point.
Light peach. A pretty and buoyant perfume of white pepper and country garden flowers lifts off the nose, hiding a hint of spice and some flinty restraint. The palate is a left-field take on strawberries and cream, leaning more towards saline and savoury than sweet. Just off-dry on the finish with a reprise of the earlier spice. A well-made, seamlessly drinkable wine which is already giving complexity."
