Great buying here on a lovely big rich Chardonnay from the outstanding 2021 Marlborough vintage.
With an impressive 95 points and Gold Medal from one of the world's premier wine shows, you can be assured of the quality.
It's almost ludicrous that we can offer it to you at this barely believable price! This will fly from our shelves, you have been warned!
From Marlborough's Southern Valleys, this is hand picked, whole bunch pressed and aged in French oak (33 per cent new oak ) with full malolactic fermentation, followed by 9 months aging on yeast lees with regular stirring. The result is a full-bodied, flavoursome Chardonnay fully deserving of its standing as a top class wine.
We can’t tell you the producer – you’ll find this out when you open the box or come into store, but be assured that this is a truly excellent wine from a highly regarded producer at a seriously, seriously good price.
Why Mystery labels? We use these when a producer may wish to clear excess stock but they don't want to compromise the brand integrity, especially online where names and prices are visible to all.
5 Stars Michael Cooper
"… it is full-bodied and vibrantly fruity… concentrated peach and grapefruit flavours, gently seasoned with biscuity oak, finely balanced acidity, and a long, savoury finish."
95/100 IWC Judge's Comments (2021 Vintage)
"Tropical fruit and vanilla on the nose with an expressive savoury texture and a long finish. This is an elegant and well structured wine but with beautiful balance."
