A deal is so good that we can’t name the winery and we can’t advertise the discount.
But here’s what we can say. Once you get your hands on this bottle, do yourself a favour and look it up. The real RRP might just stop you in your tracks.
When the importer first brought this Shiraz to us from Coonawarra, they didn’t tell us the price. Instead, they asked a simple question. What would you pay for this?
The room landed comfortably north of $50.
The quality made that an easy call.
So when we found out what we could actually offer it for, let’s just say there were a few stunned faces.
From a standout vintage in Coonawarra, this is everything you want from top flight Australian Shiraz. Rich, smooth and effortlessly seductive.
Think layers of cassis, dark chocolate, mint and black fruits, wrapped in fine tannins and beautifully integrated oak. There’s power here, but also polish, everything flowing in harmony from first sip to long, lingering finish.
The critics agree…
95/100 Ken Gargett, WinePilot.com, October 2024 (2021 Vintage)
“A very fine Shiraz from Coonawarra, from an excellent vintage. The nose reveals notes of cassis, chocolate, mint, tobacco leaves and black fruits. The quality of the vintage shines through and we see some early complexity already evident. The oak is handled deftly and is superbly integrated. Seamless in structure with really fine tannins and serious length, this is a cracker and will drink beautifully for ten years or more”.
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, October 2022 (2021 Vintage)
"The bouquet shows striking blackberry and raspberry characters with floral, warm spice and toasty oak nuances. The seductively delicious palate offers plump mouthfeel and velvety texture, combined with opulent fruit flavours and elegant savoury notes, making it instantly satisfying. At its best: now to 2036."
93/100 Campbell Mattison, James Halliday's Wine Companion (2021 Vintage)
"There’s a flow to this wine, an impression of fluid control. You might even call it smooth. It tastes of sweet red berries, plums and redcurrant, with smoked clove notes, mint and cedarwood. Oak is lavishly applied but the fruit is up to it. Everything here feels substantial but at no point does it feel overdone."
