From a wine label that has not been seen in the NZ market for a number of years. When we tried a sample a while ago, we recognised the quality on offer, and once we knew the price we could offer it for we jumped onto it straight away. Promoted as a Mystery label to protect the brand online, you can do a quick search once you know the name to see for yourself what a fantastic buy this is.
This is a classic Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon from a 40-year-old single block on Coonawarra's famous Terra Rosa soils. Well structured, full-bodied with black berry, dark forest fruit flavours; quite dense on the palate. This is great buying.

Boysenberry, ripe red cherry and blackberry pie. Pencil shavings, black granite and tar. Sage and bay leaf followed by clove, winter pine and dark chocolate. A taut and compact palate with blue fruit coming through and tobacco and cigar pouch. Nicely integrated and drinking well now."
