Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
"Dominated by bright aromas of cherry chocolate, blueberry, blackberry, marshmallows and rose. In the background there are tarry and cedar notes and toasted oak. Carrying over from the nose the blueberries and red currants are immediately apparent. The firm tannin structure is accented nicely by the generosity contributed by the medium-full body of the mid-palate. The acidity has a gentle linearity which pairs nicely with the texture derived from the French Oak. The vibrancy and liveliness of the fruit weight makes this wine very appealing and should be enjoyed while in its youth.
The fruit was hand-picked and delivered to the winery, where it was hand-sorted and destemmed. The must was then pumped into stainless steel closed fermenters and inoculated for primary fermentation. During primary fermentation, pump-overs were conducted 3 times per day to enhance colour and flavour extraction. Once primary fermentation was complete the wine was pressed and then transferred to 228L French Oak Barriques, none of which were new. Malolactic fermentation was conducted in barrel after which, the wine was racked into tank; blended, analysed and finally, returned to barrel and aged for 18 months.
We make the Amy’s in a style specifically intended for early drinking. Short term cellaring of around 5 years will reward with some further complex characters, however, we recommend that this wine is enjoyed for it’s attractive young fruit flavours."

94/100 JamesSuckling.com, October 2022 (2020 Vintage)
"Blackcurrants, blackberries, flowers and lead pencil on the nose. Full-bodied with tangy fruit as well as a orange peel and walnut undertone. Tight and focused at the finish. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, malbec, merlot, and petit verdot. Drinkable, but better in 2024."
94/100 Ray Jordan, The West Australian Wine Guide (2020 Vintage)
"Just gorgeous from the start through to its exceptionally refined and long palate finish. Strikes such a good balance between fruit and oak with a red fruit dominance supported with a chalky mouth feel."
5 Stars & 95/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review, April 2021 (2019 Vintage)
"A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, malbec and petit verdot. Deliciously intense red with juicy cassis, plum, blueberry flavours smothering spicy oak characters. Very approachable now but will become even more complex and interesting with bottle age."
95/100 Erin Larkin, James Halliday's Wine Companion (2019 Vintage)
"Hand picked, matured for 14 months in seasoned French oak. The 2019 vintage in Margaret River was cool and wet, producing wines of concentrated, high aroma and vibrancy. This is all of that, with layers of nuance on the palate. It is very restrained and long; unfurling, petal by petal, rather than revealing itself all at once. Elegant and classy to the very end. A ripper. Buy it and cellar it with confidence, or drink its beauty tonight – both viable options."
4 Stars Cuisine Bordeaux Blend Tasting, March 2022 (2019 Vintage)
"A deep purple colour in the glass with just a hint of red hue. Aromas of fresh violets, doris plum and cassis are set against a dried-herb character that adds interest. Full bodied yet elegant, supple and silky with black and red fruit concentration leading to a gorgeous harmonious lengthy finish."
