Winery notes (2025 Vintage)
"Co-ferment of Pinot Gris + Sauvignon Blanc + Viognier + Semillon + Pinot Noir. Raupo Vineyard, Marlborough. Certified organic/biodynamic fruit.Hand-harvested. This wine was started as a rolling ferment with the Pinot Noir fruit being picked first to spend 3 days on skins to gain some colour. A pied du cuve (vineyard ferment starter) was added to this parcel off fruit to begin wild fermentation. The remaining varieties were all picked 4 days later & whole bunch pressed with the Pinot Noir into stainless steel tank. Settled overnight & transferred to neutral French oak puncheons to finish fermentation. Blended after 7 months in barrel & settled for 2 months in stainless steel tank. Bottled unfined/unfiltered with a small SO2 addition."
92/100 Cameron Douglas MS, October 2026 (2025 Vintage)
"For this vintage a blend of Semillon, Pinot Noir, Viognier and Pinot Gris – all lead to a translucent coloured wine, very bright with aromas and flavours of wild flowers and red apple, pink grapefruit and pomegranate. Dry with plenty of tension and palate squeeze from tannins and acidity. There’s some finer chalky tannins and along with the citrus pith and peel ideas deliver a wine with a lot of mouthfeel and style, phenolics abound. Best drinking alongside food, no need to chill the wine too much, from day of purchase through 2030+."
