Matchbook Old Head Chardonnay is a full-bodied, rich, creamy and oaky wine in the traditional Californian style – lovers of bigger style Chardonnay will enjoy this immensely. The wine is 100% grown, produced and bottled on site at the Matchbook vineyard / winery in Dunnigan Hills and the entire business is family owned and operated – there is a great story to tell.

"The 2023 Matchbook Chardonnay pours a brilliant golden-straw hue, hinting at the richness within. A creamy texture envelops the palate, unfolding into vibrant layers of mango, pineapple, and citrus, perfectly balanced with gentle toasty barrel notes. A touch of creamy lees adds depth, leading to a bright, indulgent finish reminiscent of lemon meringue. Elegant yet approachable, this Chardonnay pairs beautifully with coconut shrimp, roasted poultry, or any dish that calls for a touch of bright, tropical sophistication."
