The Lombardo winery has been producing Italy's finest Marsala wine for well over 100 years. In fact, of the major Marsala producers only Lombardo is family owned and bears the family name on the label. Classic Dry Marsala, aged for one year in oak casks. Aromatic, rich and intense flavour of raisin and caramelised sugar. Ideal for savoury culinary use or simply add a touch extra sugar for sweet dishes. Soil: Typical red Sicilian earth, particularly dry and sunny
Grape Varieties: Grillo, with some Inzolia and Catarratto
Production: Harvest in mid-September, medium/soft crushing system, fermentation in stainless steel vats, at a constant and controlled temperature. Matured for over 15 months in oak. Alcohol Content: 17% Sugar 4g per litre
Description: Amber to light brown, with hints of raisins and vanilla; dry, full, harmonic and fervent. The Marsala of choice for fish, poultry and meat preparation. An elegant aperitif to serve with cheese.
