Probably the Best Value White Wine in NZ!
Following the success of the 2023 vintage, which not only claimed a Gold Medal at one of New Zealand’s top wine shows but was also spotlighted by Decanter UK Magazine as one of the "great value white wines to try under £20", the new 2024 release has big shoes to fill. And it absolutely delivers.
Still priced at just $11.99, it continues to offer unbeatable value, but it's what’s in the glass that really shines.
The 2024 vintage builds on the freshness and vibrancy of its predecessor, showing the same bright, light and clean style, with lifted floral aromatics, juicy stonefruit, and a zesty citrus drive. There’s an added layer of complexity this year from the brilliant 2024 vintage, with more defined mineral notes and a slightly drier, crisper finish, making it an excellent match for seafood or light summer dishes.
A fantastic alternative for fans of dry Riesling or Pinot Gris, this vintage once again overdelivers on both quality and value.
Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"Life’s a beach with Albariño. Originally grown on the Spanish coast, this expat is living a new life growing down under in Gisborne, New Zealand. An aromatic upstart that will duel for your affection with juicy peach and melon flavours to be so more than your holiday romance."
Reviews for the 2023 vintage below…
90/100 Natalie Earl, Decanter, Great-value white wine to try under £20, September 2024 (2023 Vintage)
"This aptly named wine – Left Field – is certainly compelling. Its character is big and bold, rich, ripe, tropical and a little buttery. Yet in the mouth it's so racy, there's so much zest and zip with a seriously mouthpuckering finish."
Good Value, JancisRobinson.com, April 2024 (2023 Vintage)
"Key-lime pie and white-flower aromas lead into a broad, creamy palate beautifully balanced by crisp acidity. Long and perfumed."
