From the Gourmet Traveller Wine Winemaker of the Year 2021 comes this benchmark Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Always hugely popular, it is a 'go-to' wine for many and its success is based on Jules' passion for the variety having crafted some of the most successful Sauvignon Blancs over many years. 2025 is no exception.
Winery notes (2025 Vintage)
"Explosive aromas of passionfruit, ruby red grapefruit, and juicy white peach jump out of the glass, followed by hints of fresh lemongrass. This in-your-face drop captures the essence of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Ripe, exuberant citrus and passionfruit flavours combine with fresh lemongrass. The palate is dry, complex, and powerful, giving way to a concentrated, salivating finish."
Rated Excellent & 94/100 Cameron Douglas MS, October 2025 (2025 Vintage)
"A wine of fruit purity and freshness, minerality and power. Aromas and flavours of red apple and pink grapefruit, sweet hay and pineapple, stones and clay, dried herb and sage. A backbone of acidity, saline and core fruit flavours. A wine with persistent flavours and textures. Another delicious wine from Jules Taylor with best drinking from 2025 through 2029"
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, September 2025 (2025 Vintage)
"Offering terrific fruit purity and power, the wine displays aromas of feijoa, kiwifruit, kaffir lime, and fresh herbs on the nose. The wonderfully weighted palate delivers excellent vibrancy and juicy fruit intensity, leading to a delectable, flavoursome finish. At its best: now to 2029."
94/100 Susie Barrie MW & Peter Richards MW (UK), Susie & Peter New Zealand Wines of the Year 2026 (2025 Vintage)
"It’s perhaps no surprise that the two Jules Taylor wines in our line-up this year are both Sauvignon Blancs. Although Jules also makes Pinot Gris, Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it’s Sauvignon that has a special place in her heart. Jules was born and bred in Marlborough and, as she puts it, ‘grew up with Sauvignon Blanc’, and her love for it shines through her wines. Her classic Sauvignon is a pan-regional blend that we admire most for its elegance, integrity and understated charm. Yes, it’s full of typical Marlborough grassy, gooseberry flavours, but they’re not shouty. Instead, they’re engagingly woven into a wine that draws you in and leaves you wanting more."
