Huia has been a cornerstone of the Marlborough wine scene since the mid 1990s, renowned for its unwavering commitment to sustainability and organic practices, certified organic since 2011. Every bottle reflects their dedication to crafting wines with authenticity, precision, and care.
Now, an exciting new chapter is about to begin. With new ownership, a fresh winemaking team, and a complete label redesign, Huia is evolving while staying true to its roots. To make way for this new era, they're offering a rare opportunity to snap up remaining wines under the original branding.

Winery Notes (2022 Vintage)
"Huia Gewürztraminer has a fragrant nose of rose petal notes and turkish delight. Soft lychee and rose water flavours fill out the aromatic palate. This is a silky, supple, succulent style with hints of salted caramel, nashi pear and a slight hint of passionfruit on the palate. This Gewürztraminer is delicious with terrines and paté, asian food, smoked seafood and meats, soy honey duck, as well as blue cheeses, aged cheddar, and figs.
The single vineyard site is a mixture of windblown clay and stones creating a low vigour, fruit intense vineyard. Grapes were harvested in superb condition. Once setlled, the juice underwent fermentation using organic yeast in tank. Fermented through to dry. Stayed on lees for 4 months before bottling."
Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com, February 2025 (2022 Vintage)
"Rose, lychee, pear, cream, sweet spice, with a syrupy texture although it finishes pretty much dry. Moderate acid, full body, long finish: Gewürztraminer in full voice. Opulence bottled."
