Winery notes (2018 Vintage)
"A Pinot Noir with generous richness & flavour concentration. Layers of ripe fruit, floral and spice with a gentle tannin line. Unfined and bottled on site.
Our approach is simple and traditional. After careful hand picking and sorting each batch of Pinot Noir was allowed to soak on skins at ambient temperatures before going through wild fermentation. We gently hand plunged each vat daily before pressing to French oak barriques after one month maceration. Each barrel goes through a natural malo-lactic fermentation the following Summer, before blending and bottling 12 months after harvest."

May 2020 "Wild red flowers and red berries, distinctive soil and baking spices of wood aromas, nothing but pinosity within a harmonious bouquet. On the palate – delicious, ripe and fruity with flavours of spicy red cherry, red apple, currant, some plum and dried herb. The tannins add in a soft mealy texture and acidity carries the messages of youth and pinosity. A balanced and well made wine, harmonious and delicious. Best drinking from today and through 2025+."
September 2021 "Fragrant, floral, varietal and fruity. A delightful and enticing bouquet of red and purple skinned fruits, a core of minerality and gentle savoury tones. Youthful, crisp and salivating on the palate. Flavours of red cherry and plum, wild forest flowers and a core minerality. Fine tannins with an equally fine chalky texture, low to moderate oak flavours and textures, youthful acid line and lengthy elegant finish. Best drinking from day of purchase and through 2028+."

"It's complex and engaging on the nose showing dark plum, spiced cherry, olive, cedar and warm spice aromas, followed by a concentrated palate that's flowing and lingering. The wine offers excellent fruit purity together with seductive savoury nuances, elegantly framed by polished tannins. Superbly composed and harmonious. At its best: now to 2028."

"Finely perfumed, the 2018 vintage is a very graceful, deep ruby red, with ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, fresh acidity and supple tannins. Strongly varietal and very harmonious, it should be at its best 2021+."
5 Stars & 18.5/20 (93) Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, June 2020 (2018 Vintage)
"Bright, medium ruby-red colour with a youthful purple hue, even throughout. The nose is delicate with depth and intensity, unveiling aromas of dark cherries, raspberries, entwined with lifted florals and a fine layer of dry herbs; along with sweet oak spice elements. Medium-full bodied rich and elegant fruit flavours of dark cherries, dark raspberries showing off its youthful vibrancy of primary fruit. The fruit is intricate by dry herbs and oak spice elements along with lifted violet florals. Fresh and lacy acidity, supported by fine-grained tannin structure and alcohol power drives a long sustained finish. This is an elegant and refined Pinot Noir with aromas of dark fruit, floral and dry herbs details; lacy fresh acidity enlivened the wine and oak elements provides spices and silken fine-grained tannin structure. Match with wild duck and boar over the next 5+ years. Handpicked, 10% whole bunch, wild yeast fermented to 13.5% alc, aged in French oak barriques for 11 months, 30% new oak. Vegan. BioGro organic certified."
