Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"Drawn from premium Bendigo, Pisa and Gibbston vineyards, GV Collection wines are classically sculpted, pure expressions of Central Otago. One Pisa vineyard (52%) and three Bendigo sites (48%). From the range of vineyards, a mix of fermentation styles and percentages of whole cluster was used, ranging from 0-100% whole cluster. Employing a very gentle extraction regime, the wines spent 14-28 days on skins. The wines were pressed individually, and spent 10 months in French oak, 15% new.
Consistent full red colour. Penetrative red fruit aromatics expand outwards; voluminous, with fruit cake, briar and blossom. Crisply contoured sweet red and dark fruits coat energetically to a fine mineral finish."
93/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review, March 2022 (2019 Vintage)
"A blend of four vineyards, one from Pisa and three from Bendigo. Fermented with 10% whole bunches. It's a fresh, vibrant and delicately fruity pinot noir with black cherry, red rose, spice and anise flavours. A taut, attractive wine that is delicious now but may develop further with bottle age."

5 Stars Michael Cooper (2018 Vintage)
"Drinking well now, the 2018 vintage is a blend of Pisa (50 per cent), Bendigo (45 per cent) and Gibbston (5 per cent) grapes, hand-picked and matured for 10 months in French oak casks (20 per cent new). Bright ruby, it is mouthfilling, sweet-fruited and supple, with concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours, nutty, savoury notes adding complexity, and a rich, smooth finish."
