Selected for the 2020 Fine Wines of New Zealand List
Concentrated flavours and ripe, fresh acid create a beautifully balanced expression of low alcohol Riesling. This wine is sweet but the balance as such is that it appears much drier. It is intense and has an ethereal length and cleansing finish that displays all the complexities that make Riesling such a great variety.
Winery notes (2020 Vintage)
"Bright and juicy with enticing vibrancy, this Riesling initially reveals hints of fresh Granny Smith apples, lemon sherbet and a kick of feijoa before unravelling to show complex flinty minerals. The palate is sweet but not at all cloying, with tantalising fruit underpinned by a crisp line of balancing acidity and pithy phenolics which ensure you’re eager for the next sip (or guzzle)."

5 Stars & 95/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review (2019 Vintage)
"Moderately sweet riesling with ripe apricot, lime, citrus, green apple and a suggestion of saline-mineral character. Impressive power and purity with a sweet-and-sour balance creating exquisite tension. I like the wine now but it will certainly develop with bottle age."
