Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
"Grapes sourced from the Wrekin Vineyard in the Brancott Valley. No herbicides, pesticides or systemic fungicides used. Only approved natural fertiliser applied. All vineyards certified organic (BioGro).
An enticing and appealing nose of green apple skin, white orchard flowers and a touch of chalk dust, leading into a palate that gives an immediately ripe and mouth-filling impression, balanced by a fine citrus acidity. Notes of sun-warmed apple, fresh from the tree, a heady apricot-kernel note and the impression of the lifted early-evening aromatics of a summer garden. The finish is long and refreshing, leading you effortlessly towards the next sip.
Hand-picked over two days, fermented using a combination of “wild” and cultured yeasts. Matured on fine lees for 12-14 months in a combination of 228 and 600L French and Hungarian oak barrels, with a portion in stainless steel to preserve freshness."

Rated Outstanding & 96/100 Cameron Douglas MS, November 2021 (2020 Vintage)
"A compelling bouquet with fresh delicate scents of white blossoms and fresh apple, some baked white fleshed fruits and a core of mineral and whisper of salty air. Overall youthful, perfumed and fresh. On the palate – youthful, intense, varietal, fruity and delicious. A wine that develops complexity on the palate as it opens up, texture from acidity and some fine lees mouthfeel with a hint of white smoke – pebbles character on the finish. A totally delicious wine capturing holding onto the flavours the bouquet suggests, the essence of the variety, place, time and producer. Excellent drinking from 2022 through 2032+."
