A refined Barolo from a boutique producer. Formerly a Classico, this great value label is now sourced only from vineyards in the town of Verduno. The family has been receiving recognition since the mid-Nineteenth Century but still work hard to produce wines of perfect balance and delicacy. Lots of cru fruit goes into this humble Barolo, which has a staggering potential to develop for a wine of this price. It will delight just as well in the nearer term.

"Showing depth and elegance the site is known for, the 2020 San Lorenzo di Verduno has multi-faceted scents of ripe red berry, underbrush, dog rose, leather and eucalyptus. Full-bodied and loaded with finesse, the delicious palate delivers ripe Morello cherry, wild raspberry, star anise and ground clove set against a backbone of refined tannins.
