A great value "overachiever" from the experts in Barolo. On this beautiful vineyard near the winery, the team at Cogno are able to attain wonderful fruit ripeness and aroma along with a palate that is flush with beautiful polished tannins. From younger vines, this is a proper food Barolo but also an accessible introduction to the Barolo style. Cellar or decant this total charmer.

"The Elvio Cogno 2020 Barolo Cascina Nuova has a hint of smoke and barrel with lots of red fruits, currants and cherries. There is an earthy element that ties in nicely with the oak, and there is a tart or crunchy side to the fruit that concludes with grippy tannins. It ages in large oak casks for 24 months."
