We have just landed the new 2025 vintage, but still on the same fantastic deal price, which means Elephant Hill Chardonnay remains one of the standout value buys in the shop.

This special pricing won’t last much longer, so it’s well worth stocking up while the opportunity is here.

Elephant Hill is recognised as one of the star wineries in the Hawkes Bay gaining recognition and accolades for many of their wines. The new vintage Elephant Hill Chardonnay 2025 another fantastic offering, showing fantastic presence, length, balance and texture. It has a fruit purity at its core but it is very much a multi-layered Chardonnay with well-judged savoury elements.

Winery notes (2025 Vintage)
"Predominantly coastally grown, cool climate fruit from our SEA vineyard, blended with warmer inland fruit from our EARTH and STONE vineyards creating the perfect balance and tension of ripeness and roundness, with freshness and bright acidity.

This wine was fermented in barrel and tank, and aged on full lees for 11 months with 20% new French oak before being blended to tank where it rested n light lees for a futher 6 months."

Rated Excellent Cameron Douglas MS, August 2026 (2025 Vintage)
"Pristine, fresh, youthful, varietal and generous, a bouquet and palate of fresh white and yellow peaches, sweet grapefruit, a layer of fine lees and judicious use of oak. A dry wine on the palate with plenty of weight and precision, flavours reflect the bouquet framed by very fine tannins and a backbone of acidity. Delicious, fresh and ready for Spring and Summer 2026 through 2031."

Reviews for the 2024 vintage below…

95/100 Christina Pickard, Wine Enthusiast, April 2026 (2024 Vintage)
"This Hawke's Bay bottling offers up heady, oh-so-Chard aromas of peach, pineapple, melted butter, and a toasty coconut nuance. The palate is tighter and fresher than the nose implies. There's creamy texture and toast aplenty, but it's all cut through by vibrant acidity and tropical and citrus fruit freshness."

5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, August 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Stylish and elegant, the wine shows ripe peach, rockmelon, nougat, and almond meal notes on the nose, followed by a beautifully weighted palate that's succulent and fleshy. Splendidly supported by bright acidity, finishing persistent and refined. At its best: now to 2030."
