98/100 is the rating given to Duca di Saragnano Rosso Toscana Governo 2023 by Italian wine critic Luca Maroni and judging by how many of our customers have come back to buy more of this wine, it's fair to say that they would score it highly as well. It is also a Gold Medal winner at one of the world's largest wine show, Mundus Vini. A big rich and interesting Italian red that suits many occasions.

This is from the heart of Tuscany and rather than the traditional Chianti style, this is made according to the ancient Tuscan tradition of the "Governo Toscano" where selected and slightly dried grapes are added to already fermented wine. This a second slow fermentation lasting 2-3 weeks resulting in a wine of extra depth and richness. A blend of Sangiovese and other traditional Tuscan varieties.

Governo appeals with a deeply impenetrable red colour and aromas of cherry, black cherry and extremely ripe red fruits complemented by spicy nuances. The rich and delicate taste is elegantly balanced between softness and acidity, which makes it suitable for tasty pasta dishes and red meat of all kinds.

We provide a door to door delivery service nationwide. Delivery charges are calculated on a 12 bottle case or part there of.
