Steadily securing superstar status on our shop floor over recent years, Driven Snow Pinot Noir has become a seriously reliable staff and customer favourite and this stunning new 2025 release should see its supporter list swell even further.

This is seriously smart Central Otago Pinot at a superb price. The project is the brainchild of savvy local wine distributor Jorn Dijkstra of Powerhouse Wines, who succeeded in sourcing an exceptional slice of fruit from the celebrated Mondillo Vineyards in Bendigo, one of Central Otago’s star subregions.

The fruit was then shaped by skilled winemaker Matt Connell, and the synergy between site and winemaking shines straight through the glass.

Silky, supple, and seriously drinkable, this Pinot delivers succulent dark cherry and plum fruit layered with subtle spice, savoury complexity, and the signature silky texture that makes Central Otago Pinot so sought after. There’s freshness, finesse, and plenty of immediate charm, while still showing enough substance to satisfy seasoned Pinot supporters.

"This Pinot Noir was produced in the Central Otago sub region of Bendigo. The Bendigo region extends along the banks of the Clutha River before it feeds into the northeast end of Lake Dunstan, then along the south-eastern bank of the lake to the northern slopes of Mt Dunstan.

This finely crafted Pinot Noir has a medium ruby colour on sight. The wine greets you with aromas of red cherry, plums, strawberry and shitake mushrooms. A fine oak layer with flavours of sweet spices, cloves and savoury notes. On the palate it is crisp, tense and dry with flavours that reflect the plum, cherry and strawberry of the bouquet. The fine tannins with medium well-balanced acidity contribute to a long and satisfying finish."
