Domaine Denis Race is located in the southern outskirts of the Chablis village. The four-generation vineyard, which nestles in the heart of the city, spread over 18 hectares covering the 4 appellations, with parcels of vines aged 2 to 65 years.
The single chardonnay grape variety is grown on clayery-limestone slopes with Kimmeridgian fossiles, which, combined to best sunshine exposition, enables it to reveal its unique character in our first-range Chablis wines. After studying wine growing and wine making, the second daughter Claire has now been working with mum and dad since 2005, and is planning to take on the estate.
A stunning, hand-crafted premier cru Chablis from this wonderful family estate. This is classic Chablis: precise, pure, and driven. Velvety citrus fruit gives way to textbook chalk, slate, and stone. Elegant, fresh, and mineral, this deep-flavoured wine has intense aromas of citrus with some hints of peach.

"This is a very approachable Montmains, with an appealing combination of ripe fruit and bright acidity. Clean, fresh and drinking well already. On their 18ha estate, Denis, Laurence and daughters Claire and Marine manage vines that are up to 90 years old."
