"Two wines in one! Chill it down for a stylish light red then watch it evolve as it warms to develop a spicy edge and crunchy finish. This is a light and juicy Hawke's Bay blend of Pinot Noir, Malbec, and Merlot designed to be enjoyed lightly chilled.
Specifically designed and named for all the conversations I’ve had over the years selling my wines around the world. It’s also because I love drinking these kinds of wines. Fresh, juicy, chillable reds for a range of occasions. Biogro certified organic from 2022; grab some asap because it’s my favourite drinking right now!
A blend of three varieties from two Biogro certified organic vineyards in Hawke’s Bay. The pinot noir portion is from a site in Maraekakaho that lies inland and at a slightly higher altitude, the vineyard enjoys cool nights and warm days which make it ideal for growing superb grapes with the bright acidity that drives the Crunchy Blend. The Malbec and Merlot portions are from a slightly warmer site in the Bridge Pa triangle. The sunny vineyard enjoys stony, free draining soils, long summers and crisp winters. Picked to retain their fresh natural acidity and pure fruit characters."

"Designed by maker Daniel Brennan to be served chilled, this Hawke’s Bay red has a Pinot Noir portion from Maraekakaho, and picks of Malbec and Merlot from the Bridge Pa triangle. The colour is intense – a shining, vibrantly translucent carmine-ruby red in the glass. If you do chill the wine you’re in for a journey, as the wine starts with a crunch and stab of spiky red fruits, then evolves into a richer, spicy wee beast as it reaches room temperature. Both work, both are good – like a two-for-one combo. The perfume is fresh, packed with juicy cranberry, strawberry and middle-eastern spices. Light-bodied, the palate is driven by a zesty acidity, tannins and phenolics neatly tucked in to the side. A generous finish of good, dry length."

Winemaker Daniel Brennan moved from Philadelphia to New Zealand, leaving behind his life as a touring rock band manager to pursue his passion for winemaking. He collaborates with small-scale growers to produce award-winning wines using classic practices and minimal intervention. All Decibel wines are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, sourced from certified sustainable vineyards. Daniel's goal is to transition to fully certified organic production, working closely with growers to push the boundaries of sustainable viticulture.
At Decibel Central in Hastings, you can explore over 17 wines through tastings or simply drop in to pick up a bottle. With a range that includes the young and fresh Giunta Series, the expressive and approachable Decibel Wines, and the powerful, age-worthy Testify collection, there's something for everyone. Excellent wine store! Probably the best in town. You can find wall kinds of wine and from around the world. I even found a wine from my hometown Uruguay which is not easy to find at all on this side of the globe.

I had been searching for a very specific wine and I finally found it here. Not only did they have the wine I was searching for, they had a beautiful collection of other wines. Possibly the best wine shop in New Zealand. I've been coming here for 11+ years. Excellent, interesting wines at a range of price points; friendly, personal and knowledgeable service. If the wall of Sauv Blanc, Pinot Gris, Shiraz and Pinot Noir at the supermarket doesn't do it for you, you need to sign up for Vino Fino's email. They work hard to get sharp prices on very good wines.

An amazing selection of wine from pretty much all over the planet! Price are decent too and for sure if you are good at spotting the right wine can get some amazing wines to a more than fair price! Parking is a bit of an issue but worst come to worst can park at the south city carpark and walk 100m!
