Clément and Rémi represent the fifth generation of Croix de Beausejour and live on the eight hilly hectares of the exceptional landscapes. The values of authenticity, progress and simplicity they hold, tie them to a natural way of winemaking. They are respected for their know-how and quality of their terroir.
Minerality, fresh thyme, a hint of mocha, spearmint and ripe, juicy, dark, juicy plums with black cherries all over the place. The wine is full bodied, supple, long and fresh, with a good sense of purity, stone and black and red fruits in the finish.
Antonio Galloni, Vinous (2016 Vintage)
"The 2016 Croix de Beauséjour is a serious second wine endowed with quite a bit of structure that should allow it to age gracefully for 10-15 years. Smoke, scorched earth, tobacco, leather, licorice, spice and a whole host of dark flavours give the Croix its decidedly sombre, brooding personality. The blend is approximately 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, with the Franc giving the wine its aromatic and structural signatures. I would not be surprised if the 2016 shows even better than this note suggests in a few years' time."
