"Our new Estate Range replaces the Petit Clos – showing vivacity, concentration and brightness, the Estate wines are crafted from both our glacial stones and windblown clay terroirs. Combining the best nuances of Marlborough and our Sancerre heritage, this organic Pinot Noir is our flagship wine from the Clos Henri estate in Blenheim.

Freshly squeezed cherries and plums, this Estate Pinot Noir is flush with abundant aromas of dark red fruits and a licorice undercurrent. Exuberant and densely concentrated, the lively palate has notes of cherry liqueur and macerated plums which are all bound together with firm, textural tannins."

"The 2022 Pinot Noir is quite reductive upon opening and really requires much vigorous swirling to coax it from its shell. On the palate, lacy cherry notes mingle with garden rose and red apple skins, while the tannins are chalky, fine and a little chewy. This is a lovely wine, but if your bottle is like mine, it will require either a decant or some patience. The juice is worth the squeeze, though."
