Rooted in history and tradition, Château Sixtine has been shaped by the Diffonty family since 1673. Today, Jean-Marc Diffonty, the fourth generation at the helm, continues his family's legacy in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a property spanning 15 hectares between Orange and Avignon. Under his guidance, Château Sixtine has gained new energy, blending modern elegance with time-honored practices to elevate the domaine’s standing in this celebrated appellation.

The estate’s vineyards are dedicated to five primary varieties: Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre for their rich reds, along with Roussanne and Clairette for refined whites.

Chateau Sixtine is a powerful, modern-styled Châteauneuf-du-Pape with real depth and richness. Blackberry, black raspberry and ripe red berry fruit lead the way, layered with liquorice, smoky spice and crushed Mediterranean herbs. There’s a noticeable touch of oak, but it sits comfortably within the wine’s dense, concentrated profile. The palate is opulent and full-bodied, with sweet, polished tannins and plenty of savoury complexity beneath the fruit. Rich and expressive now, but with enough structure to benefit from further bottle age and develop beautifully over the next decade or more.
