Created in 1770, the Château Moncets estate is the oldest vineyard and bears the name of the Général de Moncets who bought it in 1872. Repurchased many years later in 2012 by a French family-owned company, the vines and cellars have since been fully renovated and rehabilitated in order to sustain the estate.
Winery Notes (2020 Vintage)
Shows off a bright deep red colour with purple reflections. Red fruits’ aroma dominates the nose subtly spiced with peppermint notes. This vintage is well balanced and smooth in mouth until the final taste. Spiced and vanilla flavours last. A very classic Bordeaux style.

92/100 Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, September 2022 (2019 Vintage)
"A fine, ripe, juicy wine with balanced tannins, this is rich in Merlot and fine spice. The wine's structure and its solid texture show fine potential. Drink this concentrated wine from 2025."
90/100 Jane Anson, Decanter, May 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"Same owners as Ch Chambrun, and a slightly more old school Lalande de Pomerol interpretation of the vintage, meaning more red fruits, juicy with fresh acidities and higher floral aromatics."
90/100 James Suckling (2019 Vintage)
"Aromas of dark plums, blueberries, walnuts, honey and baking spices. Medium-to full-bodied with chewy tannins. Fruity, with a ripe, dense finish. Drink after 2023."
