"Marie-Christine, the daughter of Henri Ducourt, purchased this prestigious left-bank property in 1979, which lies on the border of the Graves appellation. The 60-hectare vineyard was rapidly replanted and the château building, which dates from 1348, was restored. Our family now produces three different-coloured wines there: red, white and rosé.
Red fruits, almond and hazelnut, with a faint vanilla aroma. The silky, velvety attack reveals a pleasant, concentrated and well-structured wine, wine a combination of fruits pastes’ flavours, liquorice and toasted notes, and an elegant finish."

"Smells wild and full of dried herbs and dark fruits with gorgeous floral scents bursting from the glass. Tense and direct, the fruit is quite tight right now – almost tangy strawberry and red cherry, not really giving a lot in terms of expansion, it's the tannins that take centre stage, full and fine though not exuberant or plush giving the overall wine some angles and sharp sides. I like the upfront nature, the clarity and the acidity is really nice with liquorice and cedar spice dotted throughout – it's well made but just not there yet in terms of harmony. Has personality though and is one of the more memorable ones."
