"A blend of Chardonnay from the legendary Lyon’s and Osawa vineyards in Hawke’s Bay. The Lyon’s vineyard is a field blend of Chardonnay clones providing richness and intensity. The Osawa site is higher altitude, planted in clone 95 Chardonnay and provides delicate aromas, flavours and minerality to the palate. Aged on full lees for 14 months in seasoned French oak barrels."

"A medium-bodied wine with restrained, taut acidity and a subtle flinty edge which give way to savoury, lees-derived breadth on the finish. The palate shows grapefruit, cashew and heritage apple flavours, lifted by a sweet note of oregano. Mid-weight generosity gradually tightens across the palate, drawing into a tangy, sherbet-like finish with a lick of salt. Give this a year or two to come together and enjoy over the mid-term."
