The delicious wine has aromas for acacia, beeswax, quince, almond, honey and white peach. Peach, apricot and melon flavours on the palate are backed by a juicy, bitter orange-tinged finish. If you let it age, it will take notes of hazelnut and almonds… yum!
Château du Trignon has for over a century been one of the Southern Rhône Valley’s most respected wine estates. With considerable holdings in Gigondas, Rasteau, Sablet and other premier Côtes-du-Rhône locales, five successive generations of the Roux family firmly established Château du Trignon as a first rate purveyor of powerful, structured red wines. And since its purchase in 2007 by the Quiot family of Domaine du Vieux Lazaret and Châteauneuf-du- Pape fame, Château du Trignon has become equally adept at producing compelling white wines.

"This is lovely – it has real freshness, with enjoyable citrus notes to the peach and pineapple fruit. Good intensity and acidity, with a long finish too. There's much more to this than the appellation might suggest – and it's very unusual to find a pure (or essentially pure) Marsanne that's this good in the southern Rhône."
