Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
"Made from juicy, handpicked Old Vine Barossa Grenache + Mourvèdre and hand-crafted with minimal intervention = the ultimate CHILLABLE red. Cool fermented with whole bunches. Unfined = Vegan friendly! Grandma never tasted a red like this!"
92/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2025 (2022 Vintage)
"It's delightfully fruited and fragrant on the nose, showing raspberry, sweet strawberry, olive, and subtle spice characters. The palate offers elegant weight and juicy fruit flavours, well supported by refreshing acidity and fine tannins, offering charming drinking. At its best: now to 2028."
91/100 Dave Brooks, James Halliday's Wine Companion, April 2025 (2022 Vintage)
"It gladdens my heart to think of folks rocking home from the bottle-o and slapping a light red wine in the fridge. It took a while, but evolution's like that. Grenache and mourvédre form the base here. Perky and bright with ripe, juicy, red and blue berry fruits, a liberal dose of spice, dried herbs, purple florals and ginger cake. Light on the tannin, bright acidity, a slink of texture. Nice!"
91/100 Regan Drew, vinonotebook.com, June 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"Medium garnet colour with a ruby clear rim. Cool purple plum fruit, blue gravel, anise to amaro herb and spice with a signature potpourri lilt. Well put together and bright. Mid weight (beyond rosé) and with more than a hint of cheek. Just a flirt of chewy tannin to give a base to a herby, purple and red berries. Covers all bases: Enough acidity to keep it zingy when chilled and enough fruit when that coolness warms up. Fun stuff indeed."
90/100 Cameron Douglas MS, July 2025 (2022 Vintage)
"Vibrant red and ruby hues lead to a bouquet of freshly crushed red berries, cherry and boysenberry then rose and red-beet juice. On the palate flavours of red berries and bubble-gum, some exotic red melon ideas then red berry flavours that reflect the bouquet. Balanced, well made and ready, best alongside chilled soups and charcuterie. Drinking window from day of purchase through 2029."
