This is a blend of the now familiar Primitivo and the relatively rare and ancient Susumaniello, a variety which adds an extra dimension of dark fruits to the wine.
Whilst a score of 98/100 from Italy’s Luca Maroni may seem excessive for such a modestly priced wine, we know that this is exactly the style of wine that has become such a winner with not only Luca Maroni, but with wine lovers around the world.
Prunes, blackberry and black pepper on the nose. Great intensity and warmth on the palate. Part of the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and another part in large oak barrels. Serve in a large glass with hearty cuisine.

"Dark red colour with purple hints. Complex bouquet with red fruits aroma and spicy notes. In the mouth it is warm and intense. Ideal with first dishes, grilled meat and aged cheeses."
