Winery notes (2020)
"A blend of Nero d'Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from Belice Valley in Sicily. The wine obtained by partial drying of the grapes is opulent, powerful, but finely balanced. The candied notes wrap around the toasted ones, giving the palate fullness and sensuality. A fruit driven red with fruity notes of prune and blackberries. The palate is gently balanced and full-bodied due to the delicate, sweet tannins."
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, November 2024 (2020 Vintage)
"Rich and brooding, it's wonderfully lifted on the nose, showing dark fruit intensity, charcuterie, cake spice and roasted nut aromas. The concentrated palate offers terrific power and opulence, well framed by plush texture and beautifully melded tannins, finishing bold and vivacious simultaneously. At its best: now to 2035."
91/100 Cameron Douglas MS, November 2024 (2020 Vintage)
"A classic bouquet of blended red varieties delivering a aromas of preserved red berries, fresh red skinned fruit, some oxidative complexities and licorice like spice layers. Dry with core red berry flavours, mineral earth, easy tannins and acid line. Balanced and well made, a food wine in my humble opinion, with charcuterie and meat-based pasta come to mind. The warming alcohol and silky texture across the palate makes for easy drinking. Best from day of purchase through 2029+."
